SALVADOR's Story...
Salvador is kind of a high maintenance little guy who loves lots of attention and is not going to be ignored. We think Salvador will be on the smaller side and his mix is just a guess though there is something very Doxie about him. Salvador plays well with others but has shown a bit of food aggression with other puppies. But once the food is resolved, he is happy to snuggle and play and wrestle with friends. He is very active and can sometimes get more anxious than the other puppies...but we feel that rescue is just not his thing and he would be much happier in a home where he could be in the mix of family activities and get more one on one time. He's had a rough start in life, finding himself at a high kill he really deserves a life where he doesn't have to worry about what is going to happen to him anymore. He is a good choice for a family with kids as he has lots of energy but he knows when to settle down too.

Salvador's adoption fee is $325 which helps offset the costs of getting him all ready for adoption. For more info or to request an application, please contact Dawn at Salvador will be available to meet his pre-approved adopter at an upcoming public meet and greet in Hagerstown, MD.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SALVADOR, a Bluemont Dachshund/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Bluemont, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Bluemont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bluemont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bluemont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bluemont paves the way for another one to be saved.
