My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Skeeter. I am a very animated Quaker Parrot. Some people call me a Quaker Parakeet. Just don't forget my name is Skeeter. I know my name and I won't let you forget it, either. I say it very clearly and I can even mimic wildlife, too. When I want to, I say things like: Skeeter, Thank you, Welcome, Good Boy, Bad Boy, Pretty Boy, Whatcha Doin?, What?, Go outside, Go Lay Down, Sit down, Sit, Gimme Kiss, Kiss-Kiss-Kiss, Brown Dog, C'mon Rock, let's go, Rocky Road. Some things are not so clear, but you can still tell what I am saying. I am new to my foster home but like them very much. It didn't take me long (like maybe a minute) to decide I liked them. They have dogs and I don't mind them being around at all. Most birds like me are very cage aggressive, but I am not too bad about it. I like a toy with a bell on it, to make noise of course, and if you play music for me I will dance around. My new foster Mom made a new toy special for me. I step up very well and I am very loveable and like to be with you as much as you will allow. If you leave me alone, I let you know I don't like it much, but I am easily calmed. I do especially like sitting on your shoulder, getting my head scratched, and walking around with you or just chilling with you. I do get a little nippy if I am startled, but mostly I hear the humans say I am a little love bug. I eat healthy pellets, chopped veggie's, and will try new things, but sometimes I don't like it. Most of all, I just want to be your friend and get and give lots of love and attention!
