Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this dog personally. See contact information below.
Ace is a Miniature Poodle who is all white and weighs 17lbs. He is 7 years young with plenty of energy, but calms down very nicely and can mellow out just as well. Ace is very smart, knows the word sit and obeys commands. Watch his video where he jumps up on the bench when the person says up! Watch a video of Ace here: http://youtu.be/CgzWw8iBps8
Ace gets along really well with other dogs. He loves to chase and be chased by his friends and gives good corrections to unruly puppies. He's a great role model for other dogs! He also loves treats and is very treat motivated. It will be easy to continue his training if you use treats as positive reinforcement. Ace is friendly and gentle, and doesn't seem to bark too much, at least at the shelter where he lives now. He even stays quiet when another dog starts barking.
You can meet Ace at the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services at 5480 Gaines St. San Diego, CA 92110. Hours are 9:30-5:30 Tuesday - Saturday (closed Sunday and Monday). Ace's $35 adoption fee includes all shots, microchip, license, and free vet exam with a local vet. Bring these ID numbers to find Ace at the shelter: ID#: A1598608, NECK TAG #: C267, KENNEL #: C032.
Ace might be a little hyper in his kennel when you first see him. He is just anxious to come outside - once he's out, he is very well behaved!
