Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Link is a border collie/whippet type cross. He is tall and lean like a sighthound; at 21 inches tall and 35lbs. He is only around 10 months old, so he still has to fill out and gain muscle. Link is crate trained and house trained and knows how to sit and shake a paw. He learns quickly and caught on to shake a paw in one training session! He is clicker trained and loves to work for his kibbles.
Link is a snuggle bug and likes to curl up on your lap while you watch tv. He is a little bit reserved with new people at first, but once he knows you want to pet him, he becomes your new best friend in no time. He is learning how to play with toys and thinks they are pretty fun now. He is a mouthy player, but never bites hard. Though he may play a bit too rough for very small children, or very small dogs.
He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys going to the dog park and doggie daycare. Again, he can be a bit of a mouthy player, but he takes corrections from other dogs very well and will stop when they tell him to. He is a medium energy dog, and enjoys a good walk or run at the park, but then he is happy to come home and take a nap.
Link is a fun, quirky boy who is looking for a home that will love him for who he is and give him lots of love and affection. If you think Link might be the dog for you, please fill out an application at www.newhoperescue.org
