Morty's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Morty's Story...
Morty came from a home with two Rat Terriers! He is probably a JRT/Rat mix. Morty is very active and has a dominant personality, although he was low man on the totem pole in his last home! He is neutered and UTD on his vaccinations. Morty does not do well with cats, or with outside of the home greetings..meeting people and other dogs at the park!. He scares people with his barking, but has been friendly with my 7, 8, and 10 year old grand daughters. He would do well in a home with almost anyone who LOVES TERRIERS! He doesn't have many manners, but he is house trained, uses a doggie door and walks ok on his leash, for the most part! He will need a fenced yard, as he is a runner. If you are up for the commitment, please contact me. A donation for his adoption would be greatly appreciated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Morty, a Chewelah Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Chewelah, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Chewelah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chewelah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chewelah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chewelah paves the way for another one to be saved.
