My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeus

This is Zeus, a big, active, 90 pound boy who is about 2 years old. Do not let his charm and goofy smile fool you. This is a Lab with a lot of intelligence and personality.

Zeus loves to fetch, swim and play. We do admit that his swimming skills could use some work. He doesn't seem to know how to use those big back feet in the water and paddles vertically in the water! Fetching, on the other hand, is a skill that he's just about mastered. It took a while, but Zeus has figured out that he only gets to chase the ball again if he gives it back. Zeus enjoys being with his people and is becoming more affectionate all the time.

Zeus gets along with most dogs - especially the girls - but we think it will be a better idea for him to be the only dog in his new home. He is much calmer and more at ease when he does not have to compete for attention or the tennis balls that he loves! As with most Labs, Zeus plays pretty rough and tumble with other dogs and has a lot of energy.

Zeus is a very smart dog and definitely has a mind of his own! Zeus is very well house broken, crate trained and healthy. He needs a nice, big back yard for playing and exercise. Zeus would be a great companion in an active home, maybe with someone who likes to run or enjoys camping. Zeus is a not-entirely-gentle-giant :-) He would not be a good match for young children, but would be fine with older kids, over the age of about 10.
