Bear's Story...
Bear is a natural comedian, goofy and silly, and sweet as can be. This mid-sized one year-old lab mix loves to lie on his belly on the grass with his legs stretched out behind him, his sleek glossy black coat soaking up sun. He sits nicely when receiving a treat, but can't help doing a joyful tap dance with his front feet (called the Bear dance!), and staring up at you as if to say, "Is it really for ME?" Bear was found tied to a tree, starving, in the jungles of St. John by a hiker, and every good thing that comes his way still fills him with wonderment. This darling fellow plays beautifully with children and other dogs, he brims with high spirits and good will toward all, but given the chance, he will lie in your arms for hours. Take this comic lover boy home, and every day will be Valentine's Day!
Please email info@morgansplacedogrescue.com to meet this wonderful boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Redding Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Redding, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Redding.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Redding already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Redding breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Redding paves the way for another one to be saved.
