My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At 7 am every morning; I get this gentle kiss on my forhead saying get up sleepy head...I open my eyes to this face with a quizzacal look saying "What? No it is not too early."

She cozies up and says let's get the games going....she is so good with her foster brother and sisters---playing chase and ball...and then just once in awhile I hear this little squeal of glee when she gets the toy from one of them....

She is a beautiful sleek 1-2 year old girl...a mature pup with gracious manners....she loves car rides and her walks..everything is new and worth exploring....my husband/her foster dad thinks the world of her stating she is one of the most intelligent dogs he has ever had the opportunity to know. He believes there is a special family or a great gal that wants this gentle soul---she never gets bored as there is always a butterfly or a bird to chase with glee!

ORIEL'S STORY: After spending the last 8 weeks in a northern California shelter being an awesome mother to many pups....Oriel was rescued within hours of being euthanized with three of her remaining pups because of the overcrowding in the shelter. We could not let this young beautiful mother, pregnant when she was dumped at the shelter AND who just saw sunlight and grass for the first time in 8-9 weeks after taking such good care of her babies be rewarded by being put to sleep.

So many mothers are so stressed in the shelter that their babies die because they cannot provide enough nurishment for them. Oriel was strong enough in character to survive with a great dispostion and to be a great mother in a cement trap at the same time. She is safe now with her remaining 3 pups that were to be euthanized also. She will have a chance at a wonderful life...she has a great personality with lots of great kisses and hugs of affection.

In the evenings I watched her play with her remaining pups with awe....so gentle and sharing with all she has...the pups came first with her and now that they are all adopted she is enjoying the freedom:-)

She was friendly to the shelter staff and public and loves to have her tummy rubbed. We are looking for a home for this wonderful girl who is just a young 1-2 year old pup herself! Imagine what it has been like making sure your babies are socialized and fed in a noisy shelter environment....she deserves an award! SHE HAS HER SLEEK FIGURE BACK AND KNOWS IT...SHEis getting compliments all the time!

Adotption Donation is $250.00...vacciantions to date; microchip; worming; Heartworm and Frontline and spay.
