Sundance's Story...
Sundance ID # 14-C1150 -Sundance is an approx. 8 week old DSH. She came into the shelter alone and was very scared at first. She is still shy but is really coming around. She loves for you to talk to her and play with her through her cage; but, she isn't quite ready for holding and loving on her. But, with TLC and attention, she will quickly be your new best friend. I’m available for adoption on 09/05.
Our facility fills up quickly and my time to find a home is limited! My adoption fee is only $25.00 which includes my spay/neuter (Robeson County Residents ONLY)and a rabies vaccine after you choose me to be your new family member! If you can save me, please contact the shelter at 910-865-2200 or fax a hold request to 910-865-3872 or email it to animal.shelter@hth.co.robeson.nc.us. Please see info below regarding placing a hold. RCAS has a new policy in place so that all local adoptions will include spay/neuter and a rabies vaccine all for $25.00 to help reduce the overpopulation of unwanted animals in Robeson County. Rescue groups are not included in this program. *IMPORTANT RESCUE INFORMATION* If you are a 501c3, you will need to make sure that your rescue info is up to date with the shelter. Please don't forget this most important step! Contact the shelter prior to the animal being picked up to make sure this info is complete and accurate. The $25 adoption fee is waived for 501c3s. You may place a hold on an animal for 72 hours. If the animal is not picked up and no further arrangements have been made with RCAS at the end of the 72 hours the hold will be removed. To put a hold on a cat we need the following information: Animal ID # Name of Rescue Group (if there is one involved) Name of person placing hold Phone number of person placing hold Person authorized to pick up animal Date animal will be picked up We ALWAYS need and want Volunteers to socialize, walk dogs or help us keep our shelter clean! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sundance, a St. Pauls Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in St. Pauls, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in St. Pauls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Pauls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Pauls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Pauls paves the way for another one to be saved.
