Meet Maya Angel!
Maya Angel, a one-year-old miniature poodle, is a lovely girl inside and out! She's young and enjoys a bit of play now and then, but is generally a calm pup who loves tummy rubs. She doesn't like to be away from her people and will tell you so! That means her ideal home would be with someone who is home often or can take her along to work as the office dog!
Maya Angel is great with other dogs, and a curious girl. Her favorite thing is to roll around in the grass and sit outside, with her people close by, feeling the breeze on her face. She wants to play with cats, but she's fine with it when they tell her "no." While she seems to prefer men, she has gotten along well with every new person she's met! Because of her curiosity and good nature, she'd do great with kids once she gets to know them.

About Canine Cupids
Canine Cupids is a rescue in Milwaukee that is comprised of volunteers who have been fostering for various organizations and volunteering at our local animal control. Canine Cupids focuses on Milwaukee’s homeless dogs, but will always help a dog in need when we can — regardless of location.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
