Baby girl's Story...
Update 9/27: 3 baby girls have been adopted and two are pending, so we have one baby female albino left! She will be adopted as a buddy for another female rat or group of rats.

-These guys were born to a mother who was rescued from being a feeder rat. Luckily the people that rescued them socialized them quite well. Though slightly timid, which is natural because they are babies, they are perfectly fine being picked up and being held and carried around. I know these guys are going to be great adults! Momma is more shy and has nipped in the past (more than likely because she was defending her babies), so we would prefer someone who has rattie experience with her. We would like her to go with at least one of her baby girls. Please check out our rat guide here for more information on what ratties require: . Ratty babies must be adopted in pairs, groups, or as companions for other rats (all same sex). They will not be adopted out as singles. Adoption fee is $20 for a pair.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby girl, a Edinburg Rat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat for sale in Edinburg, or seeking a Rat from a breeder in Edinburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edinburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edinburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat breeders who help with Rat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edinburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
