Winnie's Story...
Hi my name is WINNIE and I am a petite two year old tabby girl. My super SOFT STRIPED coat is absolutely STUNNING and my yellow eyes are SPARKLY. I was a long-time resident of Long Beach shelter where I was a VOLUNTEER FAVORITE, and for the last few months have been living in a foster home with 3 cats and 2 dogs -- I love them all! Though I may be shy at first with people, I immediately loved being part of this new cat family. And once I started feeling at home, I let my people know that I love for them to RUB MY BACK while I lounge around like a princess. But watch out, I get the zoomies!! I LOVE to RUN and PLAY, but I'm always a graceful lady. I will make a wonderful COMPANION in a loving home that has some patience with me as I emerge from my shell. My foster parents think I'm sweet and gentle and a joy to have around. I am very LOW MAINTENANCE and would love nothing more than a HOME to call my own. I am spayed, UTD on shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Long Beach Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
