Brutus's Story...
Name: Brutus
Color: Orange Tabby
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Gender: Male
Age: 6 Years
Brutus is a loud purr-machine looking for some legs to rub up against.
Big fan of: While he doesn't enjoy being picked up, carried or held, Brutus loves being pet. He simply doesn't believe you can pet him enough. Brutus is a playful boy and would really appreciate some enticing cat toys in his new home. He would also thoroughly enjoy a tall cat tree that he can race up and scratch on.
Special Features: Brutus is proud of his age and thinks you should be too. If you are over 55 years of age, please ask about our “Young at Heart” Adoption Special.
Dream Home: Brutus would do best in a home with children over 14 who will respect that he doesn't want to be picked up. He could potentially live with a mellow feline although he would much prefer to be the only kitty. However, Brutus is confident enough for a dog that will know not to chase after him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
