My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jefferson is a 5 year old Jack Russell mix that loves to be where the action is. He was rescued from the Lorain County Kennel so his history is not known. Since his arrival he's been a fun dog to have around and likes to play in the fenced in area, go for walks and be around people. Jefferson has your typical Jack personality and will be loyal and true to his family. Jefferson would thrive with an active family and would be a great running partner or maybe even an agility dog.

On September 18, 2014, Jefferson was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.
