Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Daphne. I haven't had the best life, but my foster momma promises its going to get better. I was born in Memphis, TN in early June. No one wanted my momma and my siblings so they threw us away. We ended up in a place called a "shelter" It was really loud there, lots of other dogs barking and howling. After a few days, someone came and took my momma..they said she was something called "adopted" but no one wanted us. They left us there cold, and alone. We were very scared. Someone saw our picture and told a nice lady, she said she would come "rescue" us.
We liked it there, lots of dogs, cats, and these things called chickens? I thought they might be fun to play with, I was wrong. I think my nose still hurts from its kiss. OUCH!
One by one, my siblings found their forever homes. I'm still waiting for mine. Why doesn't anyone want me? I have pretty green eyes. I love to play with my 11 foster sisters and brothers. I love to play with kids. At night when its time for bed, momma lets me pile into bed with as many of us as can fit in her bed. My favorite place to sleep is snuggled against her back or neck. I feel warm and safe.
So here I am; a 3 month old silky terrier mix. I'm spayed and up to date on vaccines. I'm doing well with potty training getting better and better every day.
I'm still waiting. When will it be time for me to have my own home? A bed I don't have to share with 11 others? My own toys. My own family. Momma says I'm very sweet and she promises one day, a family will find me. A family will love me.
Will you be my family?
Puppies this age become what new owners mold them into. They are sweet, loving, happy, and eager to learn. They need to be taught and trained. They look at other animals as playmates. It is up to new owners to keep them animal friendly and turn them into wonderful family pets.
We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. Our adoption fee is $475 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, microchipping, and transport up to the Northeast.***
