My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This 18 mo old girl has the classic beauty of female beagle. Precious, adorable, sweet are all adjectives that could be used when talking about Wendy. At not quite 14 inches, Wendy is a small girl with a slender 21 pound frame. She was found stray south of Houston and came to the big city to find a family to love.

Wendy’s house training has gone well with just an occasional set back. She now uses the dog door with confidence and has free run of the house without getting into anything. Wendy is crate trained, but does not like being kenneled for long periods of time. Currently, she is only crated during meal times. Wendy may look sweet as candy, but she has a beagle appetite and can be a bully with the slow eaters! Wendy plays well with all and loves wrestling the boys to the ground. She is also very fast for such a slight little thing. It is funny to watch her fly around the yard with her tail held high. That tail will do a quick tuck if anyone gets close to her! Though Wendy has a bossy side, she is very good with the shy members of the pack who are just learning to play. Just this morning she was teaching Mona how to pin Marcus to the mat!

Wendy loves to cuddle, but is never demanding of your attention. She is also very willing to share your lap with others if they can squeeze on! This loving little girl does give some of the nicest puppy kisses in town. Wendy is young enough to still play bite at your hands. She would probably do best in a home without small children. She is also quiet enough to live in an apartment, but only if taken to a dog park often to let her fly like to wind! Come and meet this beautiful girl. You will fall in love. I guarantee it!
