Maggie May is a three year old, 45 lb Shepherd/ Rottweiler mix rescued off the streets of Los Angeles. She is actually quite small, but looks big in photos!

Maggie quickly shows her incredibly sweet and loving side and she bonds quite quickly to men and women. She is eager please and this smart girl loves learning tricks and showing them off for her adoring fans.

Maggie adores other dogs of all sizes and loves to play. She would be best in a home with at least one other dog. She's also good with cats!

Maggie loves going for walks, can trot next to a bicycle, has good leash manners and great house manners. She is very playful and loves to hang out with her friends (legged and two legged).

She is potty trained, crate trained and speaks fluent doggie door. Maggie is looking for a home where she can thrive in a structured environment and maintain her training and skills.

Maggie will make a delightful addition to a home that can give her the love and consistency she needs to live happily ever after!

If you're interested in adopting this pet please fill out our matchmaking questionnaire (www.rescuefromthehart.org). We are volunteer based and will do our best to get back to you within 72 hours. Please do not call as our phone is intended for emergencies only. If we feel that one of our dogs is a good match we will set up a private meet and greet We do not have a physical location where you can come and meet all the dogs at once, so meet and greets may take a little time to coordinate. Our requested adoption donation is $300 and all adopters are required to fill out an adoption agreement.

The Rescue Promise

There is an old Chinese proverb that states: “If you save a life, you are responsible for that life”. Rescue From The Hart honors this philosophy with every animal that we rescue. When we say “yes” to a dog or cat in need, we are making a promise that we will provide them with anything they need to be happy and healthy, for the rest of their life. This means never cutting corners, never take the easy way out and never looking at one of our rescued as just another number. We make the same commitment to our adopters by going the extra mile to help educate them, support them during tragedies, and be there to offer solutions if their lives happen to get turned upside down.

When you support Rescue From The Hart, you help enable us to continue making the “Rescue Promise” to homeless and abandoned pets everywhere!
