Missy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Missy's Story...
Missy came in with 7 other Chihuahuas that were abandoned by their owner. She is approx. 3 years old and walks on her 2 back legs for attention. She would love to just have a quiet lap to sit in. We never hear her bark, just a little cry for attention every now and then. Missy would make a perfect companion for an elder person that just needs a little company. She is trained to puppy pads, since she was left abandoned for several weeks with no way to go outside, and will need a little work on learning to go outdoors for potty breaks.
Adoption requirements for our foster dogs are a large fenced in backyard or rural acreage. We will not allow any of our dogs to be on a tie out or chain. Applications must be filled out online before any adoptions will be approved. Adoption fee is $150.00 which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, core vaccines, flea treatment and de-wormer.
Please consider your new family member very carefully before adopting any animal. You must be dedicated to this new pet since they have been thrown away once and deserve a permanent, happy home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Hartford Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Hartford, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
