Jacob's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jacob's Story...
Jacob and his brother, Pepper, are Maltese/Yorkie mixes. They just turned two years old. Jacob weighs 12 lbs., is the leader, and is afraid of nothing. They have been together since birth, but could be separated. Their owner is getting married, moving, and can't take them. Both dogs are affectionate, a little hyper, like to chase cars. They would need a home where they are walked on a leash or were kept in a fence when they are outside. The owner says that they are housebroken. For the $125 adoption fee each, they are up-to-date on shots and are neutered.

To find out more about Jacob and Pepper, contact their foster home at (828) 293-5629 or e-mail jean@a-r-f.org. You may make an appointment to meet them or they can be viewed at ARF's adoption site in Sylva from 1-3 on Saturdays (50 Railroad Avenue.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Sylva Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Sylva, or seeking a Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Sylva.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sylva already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sylva breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sylva paves the way for another one to be saved.
