"Who's the handsome young dog at the El Cajon Animal Shelter that wants to brighten up your life? Why, it's me, BENJI. I'm a two-year-old Chihuahua/ Greyhound mix who's more than just a pretty face. I'm an affectionate fella, and I have a lot of love to give. I'm here at the shelter because my owner moved away and couldn't take me along. I'm not too happy about it, but I know that people will see me and want to take me home. I'm still getting used to my new surroundings, but I'm getting more comfortable every day. If you ask one of the helpful staff to escort us out to the nice play yard that they have here, I'll be as happy as a clam, and you'll have a chance to see what a snuggle bug I can be. I'd be an excellent family dog, I get along great with other dogs, and I walk very nicely on a leash. I've already been house trained, and I know how to sit on command. I guess you'd say I'm the whole package! I sure hope you'll come visit me so we can spend some time getting to know each other. I think we're destined to make each other very happy!
