~ABOUT ME~

My name is Livia! I came to POET with my baby, Tiberius. My previous owner dumped us at a shelter after they got impatient with me only having one puppy at a time. Rumor is they were trying to breed giant boxers. Lucky for us we were rescued and we are safe now. When POET took us in they tested me for heartworm (among other things) and unfortunately I was heartworm positive. I just completed my treatment and got the GREAT news that I am now heartworm free!!! I will spayed in a couple weeks! No more puppies for me!

I am a great girl who loves people. I can be selective about other dogs, so proper intros are a must. I do not enjoy being crated, but am great when left out. I would do well in most homes.

If you would like to adopt me, please complete an application online at www.poetanimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Livia, a Garden City Boxer/Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Mastiff for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Boxer/Mastiff dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Mastiff breeders who help with Boxer/Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
