My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Bill and I am a gorgeous 35 lb beagle boy who will make you smile all day long. I am loving life and I am eager to learn and see new things. We know that I came from a small town in Ohio, but that’s about it. No news is good news and I’m a good boy!
I’m almost 100% house trained, but if you see me sniffing you can distract me by telling me “No”. I’m a pretty good listener and eager to please you. I walk well on a leash, however if I spy a squirrel or bunny rabbit you better hold on tight. I can’t help it, I have the urge to lunge and go see what they’re doing! Foster mom has me on a nice harness so I don’t hurt myself. I play well with my foster brothers and sister and I even like the cats. Oh yeah, about the cats… They are a huge distraction and I just have to be by them which makes foster mom nuts. She can’t stack the baby gates high enough to keep me away from them. I don’t hurt them but I ALWAYS want to be near them. So…. a house without cats might be best unless you will have lots of patience with me.
I have freedom in the fenced backyard with supervision of course (no long leash; yay!). I have not tried to jump the 4 foot fence either; so far so good.I do well on a tie out while in the front yard so if you do not have a backyard with a fence that will be OK too. Just be sure to take me for plenty of walks.
What else? Foster mom lets me on the couch but most of the time I’m comfy on the floor (I like the dog bed here too). I sleep in my crate at night with no problems. I take treats like a gentleman and eat my food like a good boy. I am not food aggressive at all. I fetch the tennis ball and I love playing with my squeaky toys. Oh, I’m an awesome traveler in the car. I’d say I’m darn near perfect!
Note from my foster mom: From Day 1 Bill has been a blessing to our family. He’s quick to learn, loves everyone he meets and minds his manners. He’s such a happy boy and has a smile on his face every day. Everyone that meets him is taken back by his handsomeness; he has such beautiful markings. This boy is one of a kind and will make a wonderful companion.
