My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Teddy, and I have a confession to make. I am a hoarder. You see, I lived outside for five years, and now that I am an indoor dog, I can’t believe the beautiful things in the house that are for me! All for me! Mine! Mine! Mine! One dog bed is not good enough, oh no! I have to pile two up. And then a blanket. Or two. And then one by one, every toy I can find. I love toys! I am having such a good time being an indoor dog!!
Foster mom is really impressed that I am so friendly, to both dogs and people. I greet everyone I meet with a wagging tail and a couple sniffs. If you’re human, I immediately sit down right next to you and ask for a scratch and a pet. If I really like you, I roll over for a belly rub! She’s not quite so happy with what she calls “housetraining” though. Hey! I never had to worry about when and where to go! But I am getting the hang of it, and most times remember to go to the door when I have to go.
I love playing and zooming around the house with my foster sister, but when she wants to take a nap, I’m pretty good at entertaining myself. I sleep all night in my crate without a fuss, stay in there when no one is home, and sometimes go in on my own just to chill out for a while. She has started letting me hang out outside the crate for short periods when no one is home, and she says once I master housetraining, I can have “run of the house”! Not sure what that is yet, but it sure sounds good!
I was heartworm positive when my former owners turned me in to a shelter, but I’ve been treated for that and just got a clean bill of health from the vet. As a matter of fact, she said I was perfect! Well, she was actually talking about my weight (24.4 lbs.), but still- she thinks I’m perfect! I just need a heartworm preventative every month, and I’ll do my best to keep being perfect!
I love to go on walks, although I do pull some when I sniff something great, and I love to go to the dog park and run and run and run! Foster mom laughs at me when I try to keep up with the big dogs on my stubby little legs! I’m pretty quiet around the house, and only bark when I’m playing and get really excited!
In other words, if you don’t mind a guy who’s going to pile all the dog related things in the house into “his” corner, one who will love you unconditionally, and be your best friend forever, then I’m the guy for you! Contact Midwest BREW to find out more!
