My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lizzy is a year old medium hair kitty - her coat is close to her body so she looks like a short hair cat, but her fur is thick and very, very soft. She has a somewhat fluffy tail, and the cutest little tufts of ear hair, almost like an American Curl cat.

Lizzy was being tormented by the other cats in her home - she ran outside to escape them, but then they blocked the front door and wouldn't let her back inside to eat. When she was surrendered, she was very thin from not eating enough, and was missing patches of fur due to a flea allergy. She is very happy now to be looking at outside from the safety of a windowsill, and as you can see from her pictures, she has filled out nicely and all her fur is grown back. When you pat her, you'll feel how super soft her coat is.

Because the other cats in her house were mean to her and forced her outside where she was chased by dogs, Lizzy needs a home where she will be your one and only pet. Quick movements by young children might be too much for her, but older children in the home would be fine. She's a sweet cat who loves her people. As a young cat, Lizzy loves to play with her cat toys: her favorite cat toy is a Mylar crinkle ball and also a mouse that rattles. But her absolute favorite thing is to get ear rubs and neck scratches. She just melts when you do that. She's been good about using a sisal rope scratching post and loves the cardboard scratching trays.

Lizzy is spayed, tested negative for both FIV and FeLV, current on all her shots, is mircochipped and receives a monthly flea preventative.
