My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy! My name is Herman. I'm 1 1/2 years old and I weigh about 70 lbs.
I've been here at the pound for about 2 months now. Here's my story:
I was found as a stray in to Rogers area after apparently being dumped by my owners, whom of which, by the way, never really bothered to teach me a whole lot of anything before dumping me. As a result, I'm kind of a total hooligan. I am high energy, stubborn and LOUD, but underneath it all, I am a misunderstood, very sweet and loving dog.
I am hoping my message reaches out to someone that can help save me before it's too late.
As a total bonus, I seem to be totally house trained as I have had very, very few accidents since I have been here.
When I first arrived I was okay with most of the other dogs. I did have some that I didn't really care for, but now that I have been here for a while, I don't really like any of the other dogs. I've become quite aggressive with the other dogs over the past month or so. I can't even be around them at all because I will try to attack them. I was NOT like this when I came in, but being at the pound has made me a little crazy.
I had a little incident and now my time is running very short. Over a weekend, I was being walked and, well, with me being the untrained boy that I am, I somehow pulled too hard and broke my leash. Before my handler could even grab me, I darted over to another dog and immediately began attacking her. She isn't a mean dog, but I was going to take my built up frustration out on her.
During the scuffle, someone was bit by either me or by the other dog (it is unknown which one of us).
Typically, dogs who attack other dogs here the way I do, don't even get a second chance, but since I have to stay here for the bite quarantine, I get to have one last chance at finding a rescue or home.
I only until November 4, 2014 to find a home or suitable rescue to take me in so please network me to anyone you know that might be able to help.
The pound is really hoping to not have to put me down, as they really hate to have to euthanize any of us. They just have no way to safely house me, keep me sane, and give me the attention and exercise I need with me being dog aggressive.
Please help me find a loving family who will work with me and help me become the best dog I can possibly be!

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER SEPTEMBER 12, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
