Maggie Mae's Story...
Maggie Mae is a wonderful 6 year old Beagle who loves attention and will watch you until you give her some! A wonderful family dog. Her sister, Molly, is also up for adoption. Unfortunately, her owner could no longer take care of Maggie Mae and her. Maggie Mae needs to drop a little weight and she will be going to the veterinarian soon to be checked out. But she definitely wants to meet people! Please fill out an application. All references will be checked including the vet’s. A pre-home visit is required for all dog adoptions. Because of Maggie Mae’s age, her adoption would fall under the senior-for-senior program. Any senior citizen 55+ and any dog over 5 years of age, half of the adoption fee ($50.00) will be waived. Sweet Maggie Mae.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie Mae, a Dunkirk Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Dunkirk, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Dunkirk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dunkirk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dunkirk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dunkirk paves the way for another one to be saved.
