My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misty is a 5 pound, 2.5 year old Maltese. She ended up at animal control because her owners did not want this precious little pup any more. Misty had urine scalding on her lower legs and the pads of her feet. We think she had been kept in a cage for long periods of time. She is about 1.5 pounds under-weight, and has lost a lot of hair due to malnutrition. You can't see it in this photo, but her tail is almost naked on the last half.

Once we got Misty home from animal control, she got a bath with a gentle flea-killing herbal shampoo to rid her of those pests and clean her urine scalded feet. After she got out of the bathtub, Misty could not control her joy. She was bouncy and full of kisses for her caregiver.

This darling pooch did nothing to deserve the cruelty she endured from her former owners. Now that she is free, she is looking for a loving home that will give her good care and lots of loving. Misty loves to sit in your lap and cuddle. She also plays a lot with her fellow foster-dog-pals. Misty sleeps at the foot of her foster mom's bed every night and greets her with little kisses every morning.
