Sadie's Story...
Sadie is about one year old and she had a litter of kittens when we took her in. The kittens have all gone to new homes, now it's Mama Sadie's turn! She is a petite little cat, very friendly and sweet, and has lived with two other cats. We think she will be fine either by herself, or with one or two other cats if properly introduced. She will be spayed and available for adoption beginning on September 20th.

You can meet some of our sweet cats and adorable little kittens at Pet Club, on the SW corner of Warner and Cooper Roads in Gilbert. We're there Saturday from 2-5pm and Sunday from 11-3pm.

Our cats are tested for FeLeuk and FIV, and are neutered and vaccinated. If you would like to meet this sweet cat, please email us at azcatsmeow@gmail.com or phone 480-278-9744 today. We'll arrange to have them at the next scheduled adoption event.

Visit www.werethecatsmeow.com/adoptions.html to complete an adoption application online. Your information will be emailed to us. Our adoption process includes a meeting with you and your family, meet and greet with the animal you're interested in, an adoption fee, and in some instances, a home visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Gilbert American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
