Could we BE any more excited to introduce you to our newest group of retired research beagles, the Friends crew?! Phoebe is a fun-loving gal who is ready to join her forever family. Just like her namesake, our Phoebe gets along with cats (whether they are smelly cats or not), and dogs and kids. We're pretty sure Phoebe can't strum a guitar to entertain you, but she's got lots of personality to keep you captivated.

You may not know it, but you might have a BEAGLE to thank for your medicines! Beagles are used for safety testing of human and veterinary medicines for the same reasons that they make good pets; they're small, relatively easy to handle, and gentle-natured. Where does Happy Paws Rescue come into the picture? On a regular basis, research facilities have healthy beagles that they no longer need. That's when they release the beagles to us. We provide foster homes, veterinary care, socialization, and eventually, forever homes for these sweet dogs. It gives us and you a chance to give back to the beagles that have sacrificed for the advancement of science. Please email us if you're ready to be a giant hero in the eyes of a little dog!
