Zeus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Zeus's Story...
Zeus is a handsome boy with unique Brindle coloring about 5 years old; he is neutered, house trained, micro-chipped, and kennel trained. He hasn't had a lot of training on a leash and is exuberant when first out of his kennel so an obedience class would be a great benefit for him as well as his new owner. Zeus is an owner surrender so we do have some information and it's reported he's good with other dogs and children, but his behavior with cats is unknown. He is a smart boy and knows his basic commands of sit, come, go, lay and is working on (roll) over. It's also reported that Zeus is a hiker and been to the top of Table Rock with no issues, he appears to have good recall so this may be an interest you can share. He is a little scared of thunderstorms and/or fireworks, so he might need a little extra distraction from the noise during those times. Zeus is a bit anxious at the rescue and looking for a new home as soon as possible, please stop by and meet him bring the whole pack and make it a real outing for all.

If you want to apply for Zeus click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Valley Humane Society. Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Meridian Mastiff/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Labrador Retriever for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Mastiff/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Mastiff/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
