My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Malt is THE MOST HANDSOME BOY we've seen in a long time. Just look at that stance! He is super attentive and very athletic, as you can see from his river side pictures. He loves romping on the shore with other dogs. He also really enjoys splashing and cooling off in the water.

Malt was born in rescue and was adopted as the cute little red & white puppy you see in one of the pictures. As we all know, those cute little puppies grow up and it turns out that Malt's family just wasn't ready for the growing boy. And he kept growing and growing and growing, turning into a rather big boy. At 18-20 months, he is about 70 lbs of fit, athletic, fantastic boy.

This great guy has been in an obedience training program and is even being considered for training as a specialty service dog because of his wonderful personality. He is a little young yet and needs to get some play time in before they decide one way or another. We think that a fantastic family is going to take one look at this amazing guy and adopt him for their very own!

Malt is dog friendly though he is having to learn to play a little less rough and tough. He is working on this at his foster home, where he is getting along great with the other energetic, playful, large dogs. He would be a bit overwhelming for smaller, more timid dogs.
