Dillard's Story...
I am a beautiful boy with a playful spirit and a wonderful zest for life. If there is fun to be had I want to be right in the middle of it! I’ve got those Border Collie genes, so I will do best with someone who knows what that means. You can bet that I am a very smart fella and I need someone who can keep up with me—wouldn’t it be embarrassing if I were smarter than my human? I do well with other dogs, did great meeting the cats, and am very friendly and affectionate with children. I am already crate trained too! Treat me right, give me plenty of love and a bit more training and I am sure to be the best boy ever. Sure, there isn't a lot known about my past but let's not worry about that; if you make the commitment, we’re sure to have a great future together! 9 months old-22lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dillard, a Portland Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
