Jewel was pulled out of a very neglectful home with 9 other dogs. She was bottom of the pack and was a very emaciated, heavy heartworm positive little lady when we found her. Jewel has been in our rescue for around 5 years now and we would be thrilled for her to finally have a forever family. She is around 8-1/2 years old and her personality has really bloomed while with us. She is a sweet and loving girl who loves a good walk or swim but is very laid-back and easy to care for. She can be slow to warm up to strangers and an experienced adopter would be best for her because of that. She has been working with our trainer on basic commands and manners for the past several months and is doing amazing.
