Hi.....my name is Zilly and I am an adorable, if I do say so myself!, Shih Tzu cross, weighing in at 4.2 kg (9.25 lbs) at about18 months of age. I am a bundle of love and energy. I will follow you around wherever you go. Even if you think I’m asleep, I will know when you’re on the move and will follow. I could not possibly spend enough time cuddling and sleeping with you.
When we’re not cuddling, I would love to go for walks - a couple of times a day would be ideal, and I will retrieve the ball every time you throw it because that’s my favourite game. I truly love playing with other dogs so would do well with a sister or a brother to play with. I can be quite vocal when I see other dogs but have never shown aggression. I just want to play with them! Speaking of being vocal, I would probably be best suited to a home in a single dwelling because I do use my voice a fair bit BUT with training (that has already begun), I’m working on containing it. I am also working on house training. If you’re home with me, and can let me out more frequently, then I am very good. When I’m left alone I may have an accident but I strive to make it to the pee pad. I’m also really good in the car – I enjoy car rides.
In my young life I have been though a fair bit, but that has made me one of the most lovable and grateful dog you will ever meet. I have had some issues with my right hind leg and as are result it has been operated on a couple of times. However, I am on the mend! I have started using it again to bear my weight and to walk and run. I just might look a little funny doing it until my muscles get stronger. My leg muscles will hopefully recondition as I continue to use them. Anyone who has met me along my life journey so far has fallen in love with me because I am just that sweet and lovable and playful, and cute and.....well, you get the picture!
