SOPHIE's Story...
Sophie is a sweet, white/brown, smooth coat, "shortie" JRT. At 6 yrs old, she's a very petite little girl weighing only about 10 lbs, but has tons of LOVE to give. She is an indoor dog accustomed to sleeping in bed, & is totally housebroken. She loves to walk, snuggle, & chase water from the hose. Sophie is a little shy at first, but warms up, & loves to sit or sleep on your lap. She will be best in a home without children under 10 yrs old. Being an only pet would also be best, but she will also get along with a calm, mellow male. NO female dogs, no cats. Her $150 adoption fee includes spaying, current vaccinations, fecal & heartworm tests, & a microchip ID.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SOPHIE, a Phoenix Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
