Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BRIAN is a delightful companion. He is a Bichon Frise/Maltese Mix. He weighs about 15 lbs, is healthy, has all his shots, is on heartworm prevention medication and flea & tick prevention. He is also microchipped; that was just renewed. He has been well cared for and is very healthy. He has just had is teeth cleaned in January.
Brian will love to cuddle up with you on the couch or on a chair - he considers himself a lapdog. He loves your attention, too. He is housebroken, although he does best when he is walked, not just let outside. He does like to announce passing strangers (people and dogs) by barking a bit. He LOVES to take long walks outdoors. He can be very playful, although he likes to grab your hands as he plays and sometimes he doesn't quite know his own strength and might scare a baby or young child with his exuberance.
Brian is 10 years old but thinks he is much younger. He gets along beautifully with people and well with most other dogs, although big black dogs seem to upset him. Anyone would be lucky to have Brian as a companion. He would do better in a home that has no babies or toddlers as they grab at him and that scares him. Older children (over the age of 6 are fine as long as they are taught not to grab, sqeeze or try to sit on him LOL). He is the perfect dog for a senior or family that has older kids.
We are also looking for a foster for him in the mean time till we can find his furever home! If you are interested in fostering or adopting this gorgeous baby, please fill out an application on the following link http://www.bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html
