Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bebe is in need of a new home, as her current guardian is unable to keep her. Bebe is a tri-colored Chihuahua, who will be 4 years old in Dec 2014. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She will come to you with all vet records from when she was a pup, as well as her crates, heated pet pad, blankies, and toys.
Bebe's guardian sings her praises, noting even people not fond of Chihuahuas have been charmed by her. She is loving toward people of all ages, even strangers.
Bebe knows several commands and understands many words. She enjoys her walks and is great on leash. She will sleep in her crate with a favorite blanket, but would also be happy to sleep in bed with you. She needs one potty run during the night and will wake you with a low grunt or whine. Bebe barks appropriately at unusual sounds or a knock on the door, but is responsive to the command "stop." She is easy to bathe and groom.
Bebe gets long well with other small breed dogs and would make a good companion for one. In the past she has been uncomfortable around larger breeds, but seems to be getting over that. She will chase birds, and cats too if they run away from her Her guardian feels the ideal situation for Bebe would be a retired person or couple who would be home with her or take her along with them (she rides well in the car). If you like to pamper your pets with home cooking, even better - Bebe loves cooked vegies.
When she gets excited, Bebe tends to do hyper jumping and running/spinning in circles, so she is not a dog for people who have small children in theh home. Older mature kids/teenagers should be fine.
Bebe is currently on a prescription diet formula food until she reaches her ideal weight. Since Bebe has patellar luxation in her back knees (a condition she was probably born with) losing weight and a joint supplement will help keep the spring in her step.
Although her guardian can no longer keep Bebe, she would be happy to keep in touch with her adopter and even dog sit if needed.
