My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Desi is approximately 18 weeks old. He is a loveable ball of blonde fur! Desi does have the usual "puppy" behaviors, he likes to get a hold of things he shouldn't such as shoes, electrical cords and the like, and will chew them. He loves to chew up paper, tissues and papertowels. He does love his small deer antler chew toy and furry toys to snuggle with. Desi loves to be cuddled and is very affectionate. He also loves to run and play! He loves to play with other small dogs and will roll and jump with the best of them. Desi is missing part of his rear leg. It is reported that it was cut off by someone who was inflicting cruel experimentation. Desi's missing leg does not slow him down one bit! Desi learned to go up a flight of stairs in one day, and learned to come down in two! He learned to climb out of his puppy pen, by climbing up the side. He also figured out how to get the screen top off so he could get out. Desi is a very smart little boy and loves human contact. He was taken form his mother at a very young age and has a little separation anxiety. When he is left alone he will cry and bark for up to 45 minutes. For a little guy, he has a loud bark! He will calm down eventually and will start to bark and cry when he hears you coming home. His new home should be prepared for the loud barking if he is left! He does seem to be getting better with time. Right now Desi weighs about 5 pounds. He fits in a little carrying pouch which he likes as long as he is clipped in and can't jump out! I have used this when going for long walks. Desi does love walks and does well on a leash. He is almost completely puppy pad trained and will use the pad when it is available. Occasionally he will leave a tootsie roll sized "poop" along the way. Due to the way he stands it is sometimes difficult to tell if he is "squatting" or merely hanging out resting. Desi loves to sleep in the bed with his humans. He prefers to sleep at your feet although he will pop up and give sweet puppy kisses in the morning.

Desi is a sweet adorable pup who captures the heart of everyone he meets!
