Suzy's Story...
FOR ADOPTION ... Suzy 1 year old happy yellow lab spayed vaccinated healthy house trained and crate trained great in car loves all people and dogs. Suzy was surrendered by a family with no time for her. She is working on her basic obedience and leash walking, she has never been allowed to be a dog (crated too much, not exercised and isolated) and is learning it all for the first time. She would not be right for smaller children or fragile adults as she is still quite "bouncy" and little ones might be knocked over. Doing okay with my experienced 10 year old but she is 80 pounds of puppy love. Not a barker loves to retrieve not sure about swimming or cats yet. Her ideal home is a family that has the time to complete her late introduction to the world. Complete the required application and her coordinator will call you. Here is a link to the application http://members.petfinder.com/~NY352/adoption_form.htm

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suzy, a Nanuet Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Nanuet, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Nanuet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nanuet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nanuet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nanuet paves the way for another one to be saved.
