Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Carmen is a pure innocent soul. She is so sweet and endearing. She has lots of puppy life to her and is so happy just running around. She is also a very smart little girl. She learns things so quickly and listens amazingly. She is wonderful with children and great with other pets. She will make a lovely family pet. Carmen is approximately a year old and currently weighs 31 lbs.
Here is what else Carmen's foster family had to say:
Carmen is very social. She has been an angel with our one year old. He can take her toys from her mouth and she doesn't flinch. She growls at first when a stranger comes in the door but warms up quickly. It seems to be more toward males. They ignore her for a minute or put their hand out and she is fine. She does great with other dogs.. Shows no aggression ever. We have a large dog and a small dog in the home with Carmen and lots of puppy love.
Her favourite things to do are playing with her toys, running around chasing a ball and going for a walk. She show signs of independance. She will jump up and lie with me, then in a few minutes go sleep alone. Not overly needy. She is pretty quiet in the home only barking when necessary. She loves to chew on her toys and is otherwise pretty well behaved but we don't leave her unattended as she might get into something. She does not try to steal food. She does mooch but listens so well when told to go lie down.
She is so smart. She can sit, shake a paw, lie down and go lie down elsewhere when food is around. She can usually drop the ball on command. She is fully house trained and hasn't had any accidents in the home. She pulls on the leash but listens when told to heel. She needs training but if someone commits just a little bit of time, she will be fine. She is excellent in the car. She looks out the window then lies down, no whining.
Carmen is a true sweetheart. I would keep her if I didn't have a full house. She needs someone to have time to romp around and play with her and burn the puppy energy off. She would do well with kids. She is very social and loves to be apart of the family. If you have another friendly dog in the home, that would be great for her as well.
I think she will do well almost anywhere. I think the adoptee should be someone who will spend time playing with her. A big backyard would be ideal as she loves to run and play.
If you would like to make this sweet girl a part of your family, please submit an application for consideration.
