My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gizmo is a very handsome 27 pound black and white Boston Terrier. He will be 2 years old on October 31st. Gizmo loves to play, he is very active. He enjoys walks around the neighborhood, he does pull on the leash and is extremely curious of everything. Gizmo typically sleeps in his crate but if he gets lonely he will lay on the floor next to my bed. During these hot southern California days, he has really enjoyed lounging on the couch in the air conditioning. He is potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Gets along great with our other Boston Terrier, and they play all the time. He is extremely energetic. He gives lots and lots of kisses, such a loving dog. Gizmo was relinquished by a young couple who did not have the time to spend with him. He is in need of training just for basic obediace (which we are working on) and especially not to jump up on people. Gizmo does not like to have a bath, or to have his halter collar put back on, so these are also issues we are working on. He just loves to be a part of an involved couple and to play with another dog. He may take some time to catch up on the basics of being a polite dog and not jumping up (hence no young kids) but he is making great strides. He really needs someone willing to work with him and be firm about positive reinforcement for sit, stay, down and to learn to trust that when a collar is put on, it is not a threat to him. He is a great young boy who just never had the correct training.

Gizmo is a great guard dog, barks at anyone at the door. He goes into his crate happily but will bark when we leave the house. He enjoys going on car rides and sticking his head out the window. Gizmo will do best in a home with possibly another young playful dog, and someone who either works from home.
