Rudy's Story...
Rudy is a very handsome guy! He is 1 year old, weighs about 75 lbs. and has a beautiful shiny coat. Rudy is such a nice boy, but has not had a very good start to his life. He was taken from his owner after his owner beat him in the face with a grill brush causing lacerations and almost getting him in his eye. He is in a good place now and things can only get better from here. He likes being around people and wags his tail a mile a minute when he sees you coming. Rudy is great with other dogs and plays well in the play yard with him. We are not sure about cats, but can cat test if needed. Rudy is a smart boy and would do well in obedience classes. He likes good boy treats making training a breeze. He is very gentle when taking the treats. Rudy would make a great companion for older children and would love to run in the yard and play fetch with them. Rudy has been neutered, is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. He is current on flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, appears to be house trained and is crate trained. He is not only gorgeous but he is an especially nice boy. If you would like to learn more about Rudy, please complete the online adoption application and indicate him in the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
