Rocky's Story...
Meet Rocky! He's a 6lbs 1.5yr old neutered male chihuahua. He was an owner surrender due to the fact that he wasn't the best dog for kids under 12. He's in a foster home with a woman and her 16 yr old son and 4 doxies. His foster mom says that he would be a great little hiker! He would do ok with very dog friendly cats. He's great with people that understand the chihuahua breed and like to play and cuddle! He's a spunky lil guy that likes walks and to play tug and curl up in your lap for hours! He's a sweet boy that is already kennel trained and is currently working on being house trained. He's smart so he will get it. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Fort Collins Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Fort Collins, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Fort Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
