Hi! My name is Joan and I'm a great dog looking for a forever home. I was dumped to fend on my own with my brother and sisters. A nice rescue has taken me and promised that they will help me find my forever home. I think I'm around a year old. I was named Joan Jett because my hair is jet black. I love to play and romp around and would be a great addition to any family. I am about 50lbs and would like a large yard and lots of walks. I have had all my shots and have been spayed. My foster mom says I'm the thinker of the group. I don't need a leash when I go out for walks because I stay right with you.

To find out more about me email Saving Companions Rescue at info@savingcompanionsrescue.com.

My adoption fee is $150, which includes all my vetting and transportation to you.

Come Meet Our Pets...

SCR focuses mainly on dogs and puppies that are located in Carroll County TN. While there are several rescues in West TN we felt that there was a need to focus on dogs and puppies that were in this county. Our director and foster families are Carroll County residents who are dedicated to helping the animals in this county that are abused, neglected and abandoned by people who do not wish to care for them. We will from time to time (if space permits) help dogs and puppies from other counties.

SCR's mission in addition to saving dogs & puppies and finding them homes is to the education the general public on the need for spay and neutering of their pets. We work with local school districts to educate the younger generation about responsible pet ownership by encouraging participation in events and school activities.

Our Adoption Process...

Saving Companions Rescue focuses on placing dogs and puppies with families and indviduals that are dedicated to the health and well being of the dogs. We have an application which must be filled out in its entirety so that a thorough check can be made before the adoption is approved. SCR believes that a pet is just not a pet but a family member and friend. Since this is a local adoption home visits are required to insure the dog/puppy is going to an home that is adequate for their size/breed. Great care is given during the screening process to insure that a good match is made. Phone converations & emails with the foster family is not only encouraged, but required. This helps to insure that good match is made and that those who have cared for the dogs/puppies are comfortable with the prospective adotpers. Once a match is made a weekend visit is required (full adoption fee is to be paid prior to this weekend). Should the dog/puppy not be a good match the adoption fee is refunded after return.
