Missy's Story...
Psst...What's brown and white and fluffy all over?
Our newest foster, Missy the Saint Bernard.
Missy was dumped at a kill shelter because she tested positive for heart worm. Do you believe that? Someone must have said a few extra prayers for this angel, the shelter asked us to step up and help her and how can anyone say no to this sweet face? Heart worm treatment can be expensive but it sure isn't a death sentence. Will you consider helping Missy by donating a few dollars towards her treatment?
We don't know a lot of things about her but we do know is she loves to have a bath and have her long coat brushed. She gets excited to go on car rides and is very patient while getting to the next destination...Oh and she likes other dogs and cats. She will be looking for her forever home once her medical treatment is complete.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Oswego St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Oswego, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Oswego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oswego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oswego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oswego paves the way for another one to be saved.
