My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

NEW INTAKE, MORE INFORMATION FORTHCOMING

Penni came to SHRF from an all breed rescue that did not have the space for her and felt she would do better with a Husky rescue. Prior to that she was in a couple of homes where the owners did not have the time to care for her or know how to handle the breed. Being a young Husky girl, Penni is very active and full of energy. She will require a lot of exercise, so if you are looking for a jogging or bicycling partner she may be the right Husky for you.

She is good with other dogs close to her size and enjoys playing with them but she is unknowingly a little too rough with small dogs. Let her loose in a fenced in back yard, or Dog Park, and you will see nothing more than a red blur as one of her favorite things to do is run as fast as she can.

Penni is housebroken and crate trained. She can be left uncrated at night but is best to crate her when left alone during the day. In time, once she learns the house rules she, like the vast majority of Huskies, will not need to be crated as they much prefer being close to their humans. She is also very affectionate.

She could use some obedience training and appears to respond well to correction. Penni has not learned her leash manners yet, pulling and walking side to side in order to explore everything; so that will also require some work.

Penni is healthy and will be spayed, vaccinated, Heartworm tested, and microchipped prior to adoption. This girl is pretty much a clean slate and can become the dog you always wanted to have, just fill out an adoption application on our web site, www.siberrescue.com, today.
