My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diesel is a 5 year old neutered male Pit Bull. He is large, 90 lbs., with a large head. He appears to be a mix. His coloring is Brindle. His coat is very shiny in the sun light. He is a very sweet good natured dog. He's smart & does tricks for treats, such as; sit, stay, lay down, shake & stands on his hind legs for a treat. He plays fetch as well. I am in the process of training him to balance a treat on his nose & when I say ""ok"", he catches it. My female Pit, Layla does this trick awesome. Diesel is an indoor dog, but enjoys laying in the sun & sleeping.

Diesel is a owner surrender on June 7, 2014 at OC shelter. I came upon & rescued Diesel from a homeless guy on July 24, 2014 at La Palma park in Anaheim. He told me he rescued Diesel from the shelter on June 20, 2014 as he was about to be put down. The homeless guy is a friend of my boyfriend's Dad's. If I didn't rescue him, he was on his way back to the OC Shelter & I couldn't stand to watch that happen. I am told he is good with kids & other dogs. My daughter is grown so I have no kids at home & I can't be certain. He was excellent with my 3 year old female Pit when they first were introduced. They like to play tug together with a rope. He interacts well with my Pit. I'm afraid he doesn't like cats. I have 4 cats & he barks at them & chases them. I'm not sure if he has or hasn't been around cats considering the way he acts around them. Maybe if trained & given time, he'll come around & like cats.
