Lexie's Story...
Name: Lexie
Color: Black
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Female
Age: 1 Year
Meet Lexie! She is a playful girl on the hunt for her loving forever home.
Big fan of: Lexie absolutely loves playing with toys and is particularly fond of those large plastic rings with a ball inside that sit on your floor. She will bat that ball around all day if you let her. When she isn't busy pouncing on toys, she likes to find a quiet out of the way place from which to survey her world. Lexie also likes to come curl up next to you and have her cheeks rubbed but she likes her cuddle time to be on her terms.
Dream Home: She is a friendly girl who will get along well with a male cat who will let her be the boss. Lexie is confident enough that she will probably do just fine with a cat-savvy dog that knows better than to chase her. Since she isn't a huge fan of being restrained or having the base of her tail pet, she needs to go to a home with older children or adults only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexie, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
