Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Duke has just returned from several months of training at the Grafton Correctional Institute and now is a proud Prison Graduate. He has had extensive training in obedience, basic commands, manners, house training and proper leash walking. He is ready and waiting for his forever home.
Duke is an energetic 5 year old Black Lab mix. His owner abandoned him at his mother's house. She was not able to have dogs in her home so brought him to Friendship. Duke is very friendly and playful. He would be happy to have a fenced in yard. This social butterfly loves rawhide bones and tennis balls. He enjoys car rides too. He's only been around older kids and was fine with them. Duke would probably be fine with kids of all ages. He is good with other dogs but is aggressive towards cats. He's put in a lot of training and was a fantastic student. Duke would love to reap the benefits of his training by being adopted into a loving home. He will be the perfect family pet!
If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
