My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charles is a retriever/Great Pyrenees mix who was found abandoned at a skate park in L.A. with another dog. He is gentle, mellow and generally gets along well with other dogs and doesn't mind cats. He prefers people food to dog food. He seems bugged by high energy dogs and can correct them firmly if they get in his face. Charles is great with kids and, actually, likes all people. He is crated at night and sleeps peacefully through the night with no issues. We suspect that Charles may be losing some of his hearing. He is a world class cuddler and cannot get enough hugging and kissing. Charles is housetrained. He is a little territorial about food so better to feed him separately from other dogs. Charles hates to be left alone and suffers from separation anxiety although he is getting better as time goes on. He is also anxious about riding in a car. He is super smart and can get out of his crate and may try to dig his way through the door to get outside. Quite the escape artist. He is about 7 or 8 years old and is looking at going into his golden years without a family. He needs a home with another quiet dog for company or someone who is home during the day.
